New obsession...goodbye Walle hello Gilmore Girls

Since the beginning of the term we have moved on from our obsession of Walle and have moved onto the Gilmore Girls. (Gilmy Girls for short) It is wonderful...we are addicted, we have made through 4 seasons and are onto the 5th: ) The first photo is of Lorelai and Rory. There is a bit of controversy between Phil and I with Gilmore Girls though.. Phil likes the good boy first boyfriend Dean and I like Jess the "bad boy". As in life even after Rory breaks up with both they are still around. (secretly I like Dean too, but don't tell phil;)_The second photo is of Rory and Dean who is the couple that Phil likes. The third is of Jess and Rory who is the couple that I like.

and so the lion fell in love with the lamb....

I fought against this book for so long, not wanting to read it...thinking it was just a new craze...but I finally decided to pick it up and give it a chance and now I'm hopelessly lost in the beauty of this book. I loved reading this book. Stephanie Meyers may not be the best writer in the world, but she definitely knows how to connect with her audience and leave you wanting more. One of my favorite lines in the book is...

Edward: "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb."
Bella: "What a stupid lamb"
Edward: "What a sick, masochistic lion"
All this lead me to the store early Saturday morning to buy Twilight on dvd...although I must confess that the book is way better than the movie. The first photo above is the dvd cover of Twilight. The second photo is of my favorite scene in the movie (Bella and Edward dancing under the stars at prom).  The third photo is the cover of Twilight, which I think is really beautiful.

a concert to remember...

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to go to the Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley concert. A friend of mine had an extra ticket and offered it to me. The trip up there was a little shaky (we first went all the way to the zoo...then we ended up in Washington...but we made it in time before Dierks sang: ) The concert was amazing and so were the tickets (we were in the first floor row 16) Dierks Bentley put on a good show with a lot of interacting with the audience and Brad Paisley was to put it simply amazing. Brad has about 6 guitars I think and they were all so unique. He seems like a really down to earth guy. One of the things I thought was really neat was when he sang "when I get where I'm going" there was a slide show of famous people who had died such as Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash among many others. It was also really neat when he sang "whisky lullaby" with Allison Krauss. In case you don't know who they are I posted pictures of them above...and you should look them up on youtube: )
